Dubois Movement School for Abolition & Reconstruction and Free Congo Philly invites you to join us for an evening honoring the rich history and vibrant culture of Burkina Faso through a special screening of Sankara’s Orphans and an interactive painting session in celebration of the resilience and bravery of the Burkinabè people in the face of imperialism and oppression. Traditional Burkinabè light bites will be served.

December 21st marks the birthday of Thomas Sankara and this gathering pays tribute to his life and legacy, as well as all the revolutionaries who’ve come before and after him. Their revolutionary vision continues to inspire all of us today.
