Join us in making a difference—your support brings healing, resilience, and hope to the people of Egypt.
The world is facing an escalating food crisis, driven by factors such as climate change, ongoing conflicts, and the long-term impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, all of which have disproportionately affected vulnerable communities. In Egypt, Llah Charity currently supports twenty-two families by providing essential food supplies, along with medical and educational necessities. Our mission is to expand support into more neighborhoods, aiming to ease the daily struggles faced by families living in poverty.
As of 2021/22, Egypt’s national poverty rate stood at 33.5%, with higher rates observed in rural areas . The country continues to grapple with economic challenges, including inflation and currency devaluation, which have exacerbated the hardships faced by many families.
Today, rising food prices—particularly for meat, poultry, and fish—have made basic nutrition increasingly unattainable for many Egyptians. As of January 2025, the price of fresh red meat averaged 450 EGP per kilogram, while white chicken prices rose by 15% in a single week, reaching 103 EGP per kilogram . In response, Llah Charity has provided 80 chickens to poverty-stricken families to help offset rising food costs and ensure access to reliable sources of nutrition.

Our food aid focuses on delivering essential staples like rice, flour, oil, and lentils—nourishment that can sustain families through these unimaginable times. Many go days without proper meals, and orphanages often lack even basic baby formula. Every meal matters. Every delivery offers hope.
We deliver vital medical supplies—first aid kits, antibiotics, fever reducers, and wound care essentials—to areas where healthcare systems have collapsed. In shelters and orphanages, these supplies can mean the difference between healing and harm. Every item we send saves lives.
We install water fountains in communities that lack access to clean water. In places where people struggle to find safe drinking water, having a reliable source nearby doesn’t just provide hydration—it offers health, safety, and a sense of security in the midst of hardship.
We provide school uniforms, shoes, and essential supplies to families who have been displaced and have nothing. In overcrowded shelters, where children are forced to study in difficult conditions, a new uniform doesn’t just offer a sense of normalcy—it gives hope, dignity, and the opportunity to learn with confidence in times of uncertainty.
Medical Care, Equipment Donations, and Water Access
Egypt’s healthcare system, like those of many developing countries, faces persistent challenges including underfunding, limited medical equipment, and low-quality care. With only 1.2% of the country’s total GDP allocated to public health expenditures as of 2022 , many Egyptians are unable to afford the high cost of private healthcare. To help bridge this gap, Llah Charity has donated four wheelchairs to two hospitals in Egypt. Wheelchairs are vital to ensuring patient mobility and dignity, allowing patients to access necessary medical care without barriers. Llah Charity remains committed to providing more essential medical equipment to hospitals in need.
Access to clean water is another critical need. In Egypt’s public hospitals, patients are not guaranteed access to free drinking water or food. Recognizing this urgent gap, Llah Charity has installed two water dispensers outside El Humayat Hospital and El Ramad Hospital, offering free, clean water to patients and the surrounding public. Globally, 1.1 billion people lack access to clean water, and 2.7 billion experience water scarcity for at least one month each year. Through our initiatives, we aim to extend clean water access to even more communities.
Additionally, Llah Charity helps low-income patients access essential medications. Across many low-income countries, life-saving medications are often out of reach, largely due to monopolized drug markets. As reported by BBC News, “Drug markets in poorer countries just don’t work.” By providing medicines at no cost to patients in need, Llah Charity works to alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with critical healthcare.
Supporting Students Through School Uniform Donations
Education costs also place heavy financial pressure on low-income families in Egypt. Even in public schools, families are responsible for tuition, books, supplies, and school uniforms—costs that can be overwhelming for those already struggling to meet basic needs. As a result, many students are forced to wear the same uniform for several years or rely on secondhand supplies, adding stress and impacting their school performance.
To support these students, Llah Charity has funded the purchase of ten new school uniforms for students from low-income families. This initiative seeks to ease the financial burden of the new academic year and provide students with a more dignified and hopeful educational experience.
LLAH Charity is committed to raising awareness about the ongoing crisis in Egypt. As millions face poverty, rising food prices, and limited access to basic services, we refuse to stay silent. Our mission goes beyond simply providing aid—we strive to educate, inform, and unite communities worldwide to stand in solidarity with the people of Egypt.
Through social media campaigns, educational materials, and community events, we highlight the harsh realities many Egyptians face: families struggling to afford food, children lacking proper school uniforms, and healthcare systems that can barely meet the needs of the most vulnerable. By amplifying these stories, we aim to inspire action, compassion, and a greater understanding of the urgent humanitarian needs. Raising awareness is the first step toward lasting change. Together, we can be the voice for those who are too often forgotten and unheard.
