More than 1.1 million people have fled Sudan and 6 million have been internally displaced. The conflict started on April 15, 2023, in the capital city of Khartoum.

The conflict is primarily a power struggle between the leaders of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a paramilitary group, to control resources.

Fighting continues to escalate through the use of heavy weapons, air strikes, and artillery with civilians caught in the crossfire. The conflict is not only in Khartoum it has expanded to other cities such as Gedaref, South Kordofan, and Al-Jazirah.

The current situation in Darfur is still dire especially with the consistent conflict Sudan is facing. In Darfur, Sudan, things are really tough as people face ongoing problems like blockades stopping help and the non-stop actions of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

The area has been damaged by violence, people forced to move, and their ways of making a living destroyed, leaving everyone feeling trapped and desperate for a way out the country.

Llah charity have been able to help the people of Darfur, by collecting donation. We have been able to collected and donate $1,500. The money raised from our first ever fundraiser event was donated to the people of Darfur.

The camps of El Hasahisa are located on the outskirts of Zalingei, Sudan. The city of Zalingei is currently under siege by the RSF, this has caused the people of Zalingei to flee their homes in fear of being killed. The civilians are currently taking shelter in makeshift camps on the outskirts of the city, they are facing harsh conditions such as a lack of clean water, food, and medical needs.

Recent reports have stated these camps have entered a feminine, with dozens of the elders and children having passed away due to lack of access to such necessities.

The money raised has helped buy food for struggling families. With the help of our on ground volunteers, we were able to distribute the essential goods to the families. The funds raised helped purchase rice, barley, flour, oil, and sugar.

These items are currently pricy in that region of Sudan due to the war, so by providing these items we are able to lessen the burden for the families trying make survive in these difficult times.
