Who We Are
WHY WE EXIST
Llah Charity is a youth-led, volunteer-run nonprofit based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Our mission is to empower and rebuild communities both locally and globally by supporting people with the essential resources needed for survival, like food, water, shelter, and access to education.
We aim to improve quality of life by donating our time and resources toward building meaningful projects that make a long-term difference. From small acts of kindness to larger initiatives, our focus is always on uplifting individuals and underserved communities.
THE MEANING BEHIND LLAH
Llah comes from the Arabic word “Lillah,” which means “for the sake of God.” It reflects the idea of doing good purely out of compassion, with no expectation of anything in return. This is at the heart of what we stand for: supporting those in need simply because it’s the right thing to do.
The name Llah serves as a constant reminder to act selflessly, to help others without expecting anything in return, and to make a positive impact wherever we can. It’s about showing kindness and compassion to individuals and communities, regardless of their background or circumstances.
As we grow, we remain focused on unseen and unheard stories, the individuals and smaller groups often overlooked. Through compassion and community, we’re working together to create a kind future.
