The YWCA of Greater Harrisburg has been dedicated to solving societal issues through empowering women for the past 130 years.
They work locally to support community change, focusing on concerning issues such as human trafficking, homelessness, and veterans outreach. For the past 35 years they have hosted the Annual Tribute to Women in Excellence to recognize prominent local figures who strive to serve their community through their own work and charity.
Hagir Elsheikh, one of our dearest supporters, was nominated and awarded with this year’s Carolyn L. Smith Legacy Award. She is the chairwoman and CEO of Hagir Network, HSE Staffing Agency LLC and Tomorrow’s Smile Organization. Along with her entrepreneurial work she is a talk show host, motivational speaker, and an avid philanthropist. Llah Charity was honored to be invited by Hagir to show our support for her and all her amazing achievements. Congratulations Hagir!
